Many of us have seen the pictures of American Indians wearing Horn bone chest plates. These chest plates are made of Animal horn bones, strung together with sinew and adding stones such as Turquoise or Coral, for color as well as the healing properties thought to exist in the stones. Often times the horn bones were crafted into chokers for an Indians neck or arm band.
We have been lucky enough to sell these chokers and arm bands for the past 6 years. Just recently we have notices similar arm bands worn by Duane "Dog" Chapman also known as "Dog, the Bounty Hunter"! We are even more inspired to watch Duane "Dog" Chapman's bounty hunter show, knowing that we carry authentic Horn Bone choker, crafted by Mae S, a Navajo indian.
This Indian Choker is a Bone Pipe and Black Leather Choker with Red Jasper Beads. Crafted by Indian jewelry Artist Mae S, with bone that has been dyed in tea (an American Indian tradition). Handcrafted Bone Pipe Chokers have been crafted generation after generation, with a look that is timeless. Jasper is thought to protect against negativity and is thought to hold a nurturing quality. Made of 1" bone and measuring 1 1/4" in height (from top bone to bottom bone) with a total length of 34 inches. This Choker will comfortably fit a neck (or arm) size of 16 inches up to 24 inches. This Choker is worn by Men as well as Women.
